These are Cast Iron or plate steel stoves that can either be vented straight up (Natural Vent), Direct Vented or Vent Free depending on the fuel burned. They can produce tremendous amounts of heat, are beautiful and take up very little space. Probably the best feature is that they produces as much heat as a fireplace but need as little as 6" off the wall for proper clearance. Stand Alone stoves burn Gas, Pellets, Wood or Corn/Biomass. Pellet Stoves

We are very pleased to offer Harman, Enviro and Breckwell Pellet Stoves and Inserts. Enviro is the number 1 selling Pellet Stove in the World! Pellet Stoves burn compressed wood, typically left over from sawmills. These pellets are placed in a large hopper that holds the pellets. Most Pellet stoves have a push button ignitor that engages the auger that slowly feeds pellets into the burn pot where the ignitor starts the pellets burning. The Pellet stove requires electricity feed the pellets to the burn pot where a fan blows on them. If power fails then the auger will stop turning and the fire will go out. There are a few ways to use a pellet stove even when the power fails. Foremost you can hook up a power inverter to convert power from a car or marine battery to the stove. In addition a few units allow for a battery back up attachment. This will typically give you up to 12 hours of pellet stove operation without power. Pellet Stoves typically are designed to heat a certain amount of square footage and typically clearly state that in their literature.

Pellet Fireplace Inserts

We will be happy to provide you with a free in home estimate for converting your inefficient wood burning fireplace into an economical pellet burning fireplace insert. The Harman Bio-Mass stove is very interesting in that it can be programmed to burn wood pellets, corn or wheat pellets. It also offers a battery back up system.

Wood products used to be inefficient, air polluting products. Today they are technilogical marvels producing an efficient heat source with minimal air pollution. Todays stoves and inserts burn the wood and then re-burn the gases produced when wood burns. This process creates a clean burning stove that is typically at least 70% efficient. In addition the re-burn greatly reduces the amount of creosote and tar that builds up in your chimney, minimizes the amount of ash produced and keeps the the stove or insert glass cleaner. All these features equate to a clean burning, beautiful fire, producing lots of heat with minimal maintenance! Wow! Maybe everyone should have one!

Not true! Wood products have lots of installation issues. Due to the large amount of heat a wood product can produce there a lot of clearance requirements for wood stoves. Wood Stoves and inserts are very heavy, we can deliver your unit or even install it for you.

Most stoves and inserts are sized to heat a certain square footage. Other questions to ask include length of burn time when the stove is loaded, efficiency and amount of grams of emmisions. You may also like to know what size logs will fit in the unit. Unlike many hearth stores that won't tell what brands they carry. Don't fall for this trick to lure you in to their shop.
